Therapist profile:  Ingrid Gegner

ABOUT INGRID
Ingrid Gegner is a fully-qualified and experienced humanistic integrative counsellor and a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Her work is based on the belief that clients have the potential of growth within themselves. She sees herself as a facilitator of this process, working proactively with the client to remove blocks that are unproductive. Drawing from the theoretical approaches of Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, she aims to facilitate change in the client by using the methods that are most suitable at the time. Ingrid has experience of working with clients presenting a variety of issues such as bereavement, disabilities and mental health issues.

Ingrid's aim is to offer a safe, comfortable and confidential space for her clients to explore their meanings in life. She offers both long- and short-term contracts and believes that sometimes clients might just need a few sessions to identify their issues and work proactively towards feeling better within themselves and manifest growth in their lives.

Originally from Germany and having lived in the UK for over ten years, Ingrid offers counselling in both German and English.
